Mechanical Engineering Internship
Overview
Supported the design and development of commercial engineering projects through technical documentation, field investigations, and interdisciplinary coordination. Contributed to project development from existing-condition surveys through construction documentation while working alongside engineers, architects, and contractors.

Supported engineering design and project coordination efforts for a multi-story commercial office building.
What
-
Worked on commercial building projects by developing engineering drawings, conducting site visits, and supporting project coordination throughout the design process.
How
-
Developed technical drawings and construction documents using CAD software
-
Conducted field surveys to document existing building conditions and identify design constraints
-
Collaborated with multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate project requirements
-
Assisted with equipment selection, design revisions, and project documentation
Results
-
Contributed to multiple commercial building projects in various stages of development
-
Produced engineering documentation used for client review and construction implementation
-
Gained experience working within real-world design, schedule, and construction constraints
Field Investigation & Site Visits

Reflection
This internship provided my first experience working on active engineering projects in a professional setting. Through field investigations, design development, and project coordination, I gained a deeper understanding of how engineering solutions are developed, communicated, and implemented in the real world. The experience strengthened my technical communication skills and reinforced the importance of collaboration when solving complex engineering challenges.
